Product Overview
The PONSUNO A-Frame Grow Rack is a space-efficient vertical cultivation structure with an A-shaped profile and growing positions on both inclined sides, doubling the growing area within a single floor footprint. By expanding production vertically rather than horizontally, it maximizes yield per square meter in greenhouses and indoor growing facilities. Available in NFT and substrate configurations, with fully customizable tier count, spacing, channel length, and overall dimensions to match crop type, greenhouse layout, and irrigation strategy.
-
Two Cultivation Configurations.
· NFT A-Frame Rack: multiple hydroponic channels on both sides of the A-frame, delivering a shallow, continuously circulating nutrient film past plant roots. Ideal for high-density leafy greens and herbs. Channel slope, flow rate, and return drainage are coordinated for consistent nutrient delivery.· Substrate A-Frame Rack: growing troughs arranged along both sides, supporting coco coir, rockwool, perlite, or other solid media. Nutrient solution delivered via drip irrigation; excess drains away. Greater flexibility for crop types and root-zone management.
-
Customizable Multi-Tier Design. The rack has no single fixed standard size. Every dimension is engineered per project:
The final configuration balances planting density with light availability, airflow, and crop access — more tiers improve space utilization, but excessive density can reduce light penetration and complicate management.· Number of tiers: selected by production targets, crop height, and available vertical space· Tier spacing: adjusted for plant development, airflow, lighting, and harvesting access· Channel / trough length: specified to greenhouse layout and irrigation design· Channel / trough spacing: allowed for canopy development, light penetration, and maintenance· Overall dimensions: adapted to floor area, greenhouse height, walkways, and equipment
- Design & Integration. The A-frame's two inclined sides create growing positions on both faces, with the angle, tier distance, and rack height planned around the available footprint. For NFT, channel gradients and return paths are integrated into the structure; for substrate, the frame accounts for the weight of saturated medium, irrigation water, and mature crops. Supplemental LED lighting can be mounted between tiers, with plant-to-light distance evaluated to minimize inter-tier shading. Air circulation, inspection, pruning, and harvesting access are all considered at the layout stage.
- Applications. Commercial greenhouse production, indoor vertical farms, plant factories, nurseries, and soilless cultivation projects — particularly where growing area must be expanded within a defined floor footprint.
